West Fort Worth Home Cooking Restaurant
About Us
K & K Cafe offers a sunny, new dining spot next door to the historic Silver Wheel roller skating rink on Grants Lane, which dates back to the Cold War and the first B-52 bomber flights. The cafe is already popular for its fresh, daily breakfast and lunch, drawing customers from the nearby Naval Air Station Fort Worth base and the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics defense plant.
Owners Jimmy and Lydia Chandler restored the venerable roller rink to sparkling new in 2021 and it’s been busy ever since with skaters coming in from all over. The building had a lot of extra space and they knew a diner would be ideal for the area with the name derived from their granddaughters, Kyndall and Kaymie.
Granbury Realtor Brooke Duffey is the General Manager who brought in family recipes to help realize her dream of running a restaurant. The cafe has made a strong impression on the home-cooking crowd that also favors places such as River Oaks Cafe and West Side Cafe.
